Steffiana De la Cruz was involved in a car accident back on September 3, 2001, together with her two more friends Vietamese-American actress Thuy Trang and Actress/model Angela Rockwood. Further, it was planned that Trang and Steffianna would serve as bridesmaids in Rockwood’s wedding.

Moreover, she was driving down the street when she was out of control and crashed into some rocks. The accident was tragic, leaving one of her friends Rockwood paralyzed from the neck down while Steffiana survived with minor injuries. However, her other friend Trang had a serious injury from the event and was immediately taken to the hospital by helicopter. She suffered internal injuries and sadly died on the way to the hospital.
