Early Life of Dan Shak

Dan Shak was born and grew up in an American family. His mother is Paula J. Felmeister Cohen. When he was at an early age, he used to work on the New York Mercantile and Commodities Exchange. Though he knew about the poker profession, he was not serious during the time. Struggling for his career, he also established SHK Asset Management. 

So far, Shak has not talked about his family and educational background.

Career Highlights

Dan Shak professionally started playing poker through the first World Series of Poker where he made total cash of $45,000. After that, Shak got involved in the World Poker Tour. During the 2007 North American Poker Championships, he made $70,000.

Following, Dan also went to participate on the Party Poker Premier League VI in the UK where he won $5.28 Million defeating Sam Trickett. In the year 2013, he joined Ivey Poker. Till then, he is active as a semi-professional poker player.

Ex-Wife, Beth Shak

The 60 years old, Dan Shak wedded two times in his life. As many of his fans already know, his first wife was Beth Shak. After dating for a short period, the couple exchanged their wedding vows in a private marriage ceremony.

His ex-wife, Beth is an American professional poker player and founder of The Beth Shak Foundation. The couple met each other on the way of their profession. After spending some years together, the duo ended their marriage with a divorce in 2009.

After their separation, Dan married Anna Shak, a former model. On the other hand, his ex-wife, Beth tied the knot with her former husband, Rick Leventhal on 9 June 2016 in Las Vegas. However, the couple divorced each other due to irreconcilable differences.

Currently, Dan seems to be spending a happy life with Anna. So far, he has no talked about his divorce in media. Besides, he is free of rumors as of 2019.

Lawsuit Against Ex-Spouse

Dan Shak cased a file against his ex-wife, Beth for her shoe collections. As per Dan, 35% of Beth’s shoe collection goes to him. Transferring into amount, it comes somewhere $350 Thousand where Beth holds a shoe collection of 1,200 pairs worth approximately $1 Million.

Going through her shoe collections, her most expensive shoes are worth $4,000. Once in a show, Beth also disclosed the secret for collecting shoes saying:

When I have poker winnings the first thing I do is treat myself to a pair of shoes. I have done well with my poker. I don’t have complaints.

We don’t know about the decision of the court but Beth feels the lawsuit more to be harassment.

The famous professional semi-poker, Dan Shak has won an excellent amount from his career. In the year 2010, he made $1,107,553 at the Aussie Millions. After three years, he participated in the Party Poker Premier League Poker VI where he won $125 Thousand money.

As per his wiki, he made his winnings up to $7,400,000 till the 2014 live tournaments out of which he gave cash of $709,290 to the World Series of Poker. Therefore, he is leading a rich life with his spouse and family as of 2019.
