Morleigh Steinberg

Morleigh Steinberg is an American choreographer, dancer, and artist. She is widely famous for her relationship with the guitarist The Edge. She has been part of dance companies like MOMIX and ISO Dance. Steinberg is recognized for her innovative choreography, often characterized by visual humor.

Morleigh Steinberg Early Life and Interest in Dance

Steinberg was born in 1965 and grew up in Los Angeles, California. Her dad is a lawyer by profession. She developed her interest in dance from a young age. So she took classes all over LA. She has attended a special school Idyllwild School of Music and the Arts to learn dance from Bella Lewitzky.

Later, she went to the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan to study further on dance. Steinberg was good at dancing, and even her family backed her up for the dancing and provided every support. She worked hard to succeed, and people admired her for that.

Steinberg’s Career in Dance

Morleign is a successful dancer continuing it from a young age. She learned modern dance from Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan. She had been part of dance companies like MOMIX and ISO Dance where she was known for her visual humor and contorted positions.

Steinberg tried her hands at other dance matters like choreography, lighting design, film directing, and photography in the mid-1990s. She first worked with U2 in 1987 for the music video “With or Without You”. Morleign continued to work with the band for their Zoo TV Tour in 1992-1993. She also co-founded Arcane Space in 2017, a venue supporting emerging artists.

Morleigh Steinberg is happily married to U2’s guitarist The Edge. The couple first met on the Zoo TV Tour in 1993. There, they became close friends during the tour and later fell in love. After the tour ended, they must have missed each other. So, Steinberg decided to move to Dublin in 1994 to be with The Edge.

The couple tied the knot on June 18, 2002. The family couple has two kids firstborn daughter Sian Beatrice in 1997 and second son Levi born in 1999. Their relationship made The Edge happier after a tough time.

 The Edge’s Past Relationship

For Steinberg’s husband The Edge his current wife Morleigh isn’t his first love either first wife. The guitarist had been in love in school with Aislinn O’Sullivan. They spent a lot of time together as school sweethearts and tied the knot on July 12, 1983.

The couple shared a great bond together and gave birth to their three sweet daughters: Hollie, Arun, and Blue Angel. They eventually divorced for unknown reasons in 1996. They are still on good terms maintaining their friendship for the sake of their children’s welfare.
