Howard Griffith was born on November 17, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was given the name Howard Thomas Griffith in his birth. There is not much information about his parents and his childhood. He was born under the sun sign of Scorpio.

Howard played football from his early days and even during his high school and college days. He attended Chicago Julian High School and after completing his school he joined college. Griffith graduated from the University of Illinois where during a game of football, he set a new record.
