Kirkwood’s career started when she became a part of the secretarial reserve in London and later shifted to TV Training Department as a host in 1993. Furthermore, Carol shifted to serve for BBC Radio Scotland and then to BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 4 subsequently.
After she left the BBC, Carol started working as an associate director for a head-hunting organization and as a training consultant for a management consultancy in Cheshire. Later in the year 1992, she started working for a new defunct cable TV channel and wire TV along with Sacha Baron Cohen.
