She is also the reporter for the 5, 6, and 11 pm weather forecast. Currently, she is working as the Action News Chief Meteorologist for 6abc News which ABC Network owns.

Tynan came to WPVI from KTNV in Los Vegas, Nevada. She worked as a weather and news anchor for “Good Morning Las Vegas.” Behind that, she worked as the weekend weather anchor and a general assignment reporter in Roanoke, Virginia, for WDBJ.

Tynan began to work as a weekend general reporter and weathercaster at WPVI. Later, she became the weekday morning weathercaster. She became the weathercaster for weeknights at 5:30 and 11 pm when Dave Roberts cut off his duties in 2003.

When Lisa Thomas- Laury went on medical leave, she became the co-host of several locally produced specials like 6 ABC Boscov’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Philly on Wheels, the 4th Of July Parade, and the Flower Show. When Dave Roberts retired in 2009, she became the chief weathercaster and meteorologist of the station.
