Young Bowie was an English rock star easily remembered for dramatic musical transformations, including Ziggy Stardust’s persona. He was recruited into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996.

Having ethnicity Irish and nationality British, David Bowie is the son of Margaret Mary “Peggy” and Haywood Stenton “John” Jones. He died at the age of 69. He is a follower of the Agnostic religion.

David Bowie’s Early Life And Education:

Walking into his early life, the music chameleon was born on 8 January 1947 in Brixton, south London, England.

David’s father was a promotions officer for the children’s charity Barnardo’s, and his mother, a waitress. Terry Jones is his stepbrother.

He was enlightened from Bromley Technical High School, London, England. Talking about his interest, his favorite band was The Beatles.

David Bowie’s Career:

Spying on his career, originally released in 1969, the Space Oddity album became one of Bowie’s best-known and most popular albums. In 1972, Bowie chose the hermaphroditic character of Ziggy Stardust and released The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.

David Bowie has arrived in several successful movies, including The Man Who Fell to Earth, Labyrinth, and Absolute Beginners. He took a Grammy in February 2006 for a lifetime achievement award.

Personal Life:

Describing his personal life, David Bowie married his first wife, Mary Angela Barnett, on 19 March 1970 at Bromley Register Office in Bromley, London.

They had a son, Duncan Zowie Haywood Jones, born on 30 May 1971. Angela and David were separated after eight years of marriage. David’s next marriage was to Iman Abdulmajid, the Somalian model, in 1992.

The pair had one child, daughter Alexandria Zahra Jones. Bowie has also been exposed to drug use in his career and declared himself gay in an interview.

David died on 10 January 2016 after fighting liver cancer in his New York City apartment.
