Julie Chang is an American entertainment anchor who is most famous for anchoring the KTTV’s show named Good Day LA and the Fox 11’s Morning News. Further, she is also an Emmy Award-nominated anchor.

Early Life and Education

Julie Chang was born in South Korea to Korean parents. She is of Korean descent and holds an American nationality. When she was just nine years old her family moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Her parents moved back to South Korea after staying in the U.S. for six years but she preferred to stay in the U.S. along with her older sister.

Chang attended a private school in Michigan and completed her school level education. Then she joined the University of Michigan and completed her graduation with a bachelor’s degree in economics. She later joined Oxford University where she studied Environmental Science.

Career

As Julie was smart in education since her early childhood days she has never dreamt of being a journalist. In 2000 she was working in a bank but later found her calling to tell stories to the people after spending a semester at sea.

Additionally, Julie has traveled around the world including South Africa, Malaysia, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, Kenya, and Japan. She has served for Fox 5 New York, KTTV, CW11, and WPIX. She has also featured in the February 2007 issue of a fashion magazine entitled W.

Furthermore, the renowned journalist, Julie Chang gas featured in two other magazines named York  Moves and Lucky. Currently, Chang worked at KTTV as an Entertainment Anchor for a Good day LA and Fox 11 Morning News since 2012.

Personal Life

Julie Chang is a happily married woman. She is married to her high school friend named Leif Drake in 2014. The duo met with each other when they were enrolled in a high school. They were together during their classes but later on, they separated and didn’t meet each other for around fifteen years.

After that, they again met and began dating. Her husband proposed her but she denied that time just because she was a patient of a brain tumor. Later on, she diagnosed her tumor and accepted his proposal. They tied the knot in front of their friends and families in 2014.

The same year the duo was blessed with a son.  There are no rumors regarding their extramarital affairs and divorce. When Julie leave for medical treatment, her husband catches her hand and didn’t let it fall. This shows the strength of their marital bond and their relationship.
