Lewis Tan

Lewis Tan is a British actor, martial artist, and model of invaluable dynamism. He gained prominence through his gut-wrenching performances and exceptional physical skills. Born on February 4, 1987, in Salford, Greater Manchester, England, he quickly took over the world of cinema and television with his extremely diversified roles.

Early Life and Influences

Lewis Singwah Tan was born into an artistic family. His mother is a fashion model, and his father is a Singaporean Chinese martial artist and stunt coordinator. Tan began training in martial arts as a young boy under the watch of his father, thus forming the bedrock of his career.

His family moved to Los Angeles after his father was hired as a fight coordinator for Tim Burton’s Batman in 1989. This kind of upbringing kept him in direct touch with people from the film industry and eventually motivated him to be an actor. Martial Arts Training

Lewis Tan’s acting career started with small roles in The Hangover Part III and Olympus Has Fallen. In 2016, his breakout would come playing Zhou Cheng in Netflix’s Iron Fist, getting to dial in his martial arts prowess. He gained accolades playing Gaius Chau in Into the Badlands before cementing the notion of his stardom as Shatterstar in Deadpool 2.

Most recently, as Cole Young in the 2021 reboot of Mortal Kombat, it would only further take off, as the film broke viewership records.
