Rachel Campos-Duffy, better known as Rachel Campos is an American television personality. She rose to prominence after appearing on the MTV reality television series The Real World: San Francisco.  Also, she appeared as a guest host on the ABC talk show The View before moving onto Fox News.

She is a daughter of Miguel Campos and Maria del Pilar Campos.  Raised in a strict Catholic home, Rachel grew up along with her two brothers Patrick Campos, Joseph Campos and sister Leah Campos Schandlbauer.

Mother of Nine Children

Rachel and Sean are proud parents of nine children from their more than two decades of a marital relationship. They are Evita Pilar, Xavier Jack, Lucia-Belen, John-Paul, Paloma Pilar, MariaVictoria Margarita, Margarita Pilar, Patrick Miguel.

Due to their youngest child’s health complications, including heart disease, Duffy announced his resignation from Congress on 23 September 2019 in order to focus his time and attention on his children.

Car Accident

After her stint on The Real World ended while filming the show’s fifth season (set in Miami), Campos was involved in a head-on car collision after an oncoming vehicle’s driver slept on the wheel.

In the crash, Campos’ boyfriend and his friend, who was driving their rented car, died on the spot.  Rachel was thrown out of the passenger side window and suffered severe injuries to her leg that caused permanent long-term problems such as arthritis, limpness, and difficulties in running.

Professional Life

Campos was cast in January 1994 on The Real World: San Francisco and stayed with her six housemates in the house on the Russian Hill in San Francisco from 12 February to 19 June. Also, he was famous as one of ten Real World alumni who starred in the 2003 film The Weeding Video. For the day time television talk show, The view, she thrice vied for a role.
