Karoun Demirjian


A runnerup for Washington Press Club Foundation’s David Lynch memorial award, Karoun Demirjian is an American journalist. Currently, she works for the Washington Post as a multimedia international journalist as well as a freelance reporter. Apart from her journalism career, Demirjian is also a professional classical soprano, guitarist and pianist. Moreover, she had a keen interest in photography and writing before pursuing her career as a journalist. Parents Karoun Demirjian was born as Karoun A. Demirjian on 28th April 1981, in the United States and grew up outside Boston. Her nationality is American and belongs to white ethnicity. Demirjian is the daughter of Karen Demirjian, a long-time choir member, and assistant organist. Likewise, she grew up along with her younger brother Amar Demirjian.
