William Brangham started his career after completing his Bachelor of Arts degree from Colorado College. He began his job as a research assistant and later as an associate producer and field producer for several Bill Moyer’s documentaries and series in the 1990s and early 2000s. He has also worked in a variety of films and projects for ABC News, National Geographic Explorer series, and The New York Times documentary series Science Times.

Brangham joined PBS NewsHour ‘s weekend edition in June 2013 as a producer, reporter, and occasional replacement anchor. He reported throughout the U.S. and abroad, including reports from Germany, Denmark, France, and Iran.  Brangham left New York City in May 2015 to become a PBS NewsHour reporter in Washington, D.C., reporting on general affairs, conducting studio interviews.
