Though she was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Heidi spent most of her childhood in New Mexico. Later, she moved to Kentucky for her career.

Heidi worked in movies like Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael, and Kindergarten Cop with Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1990. The next year in 1991, she played roles in movies like Too much Sun, and also the comedy spoof Hot Shots made by Jim Abrahams.
Not just in movies, she has made her appearances on television as well. Heidi made guest appearances in television series like Matlock, Thirtysomething, Quantum Leap, Brooklyn Bridge, Northern Exposure, Sisters, Roc and Touched by an Angel.
The next year, Heidi got to play the role of Susan which made her very famous. She played the role of Susan Ross in 11 episodes of Seinfeld’s fourth season. Heidi also featured in 17 episodes in the seventh season and only in one episode in the ninth season.
