Kimberly Alexis Bledel is well known as an American actress and model. She is possibly best known for her role as Rory Gilmore in the hit television series Gilmore Girls (2000–07), for which she gained nominations for Satellite, Teen Choice and Young Artist Awards. She began her feature film debut as Winnie Foster in Tuck Everlasting in 2002 and has since performed in Sin City in 2005, Post Grad in 2009 as well as portraying Lena Kaligaris in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants movie series. Bledel reprised her character as Rory Gilmore on Netflix’s reunion miniseries, Gilmore Girls, A Year in the Life in 2016.

Early Life

Alexis Bledel was born on  16 Sep 1981, in Houston, Texas in the United States of America. She was born with Nanette and Martín Bledel. She has a younger brother named Eric. Alexis has American nationality and ethnicity. She considers herself as a Latina.

Alexis Bledel joined to a Catholic school, St. Agnes Academy, placed in Houston. Her family member spoke the Spanish Language, she didn’t learn English until she was at school.

Alexis was quite shy nature at the child age so that her mother encouraged her to join Community Theater. In her childhood life, Alexis Bledel seemed in ‘Our Town’ and ‘ The Wizard of Oz’  which were the local production.

After that, she gained a chance to act in different movies such as Tuck Everlasting in 2002 and Sin City in 2005.

Additional amazing roles Alexis has portrayed are in Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and Violet and Daisy. Alexis is also highlighted in The Conspirator (2010) that is a historical drama directed by Robert Redford. Other movies she has acted in are The Brass Teapot and Parts per Billion. She performed it big again in 2012 when she landed up a part in the AMC hit series named Mad Men.

Bledel previously dated her Gilmore Girls co-star Milo Ventimiglia around 4 years, from 2002 to 2006. Alexis Bledel appeared her future husband  Vincent Kartheiser (m. 2014)on the sets of AMC hit series Mad Men. They like each other and started dating from 2012 and after a long affair, they decided to get married in June 2014. In May 2016, Bledel’s representative confirmed they welcomed their first child, a son, in 2015.
