In 2009, she worked as the United States Senator John Kerry’s political director.

Ayanna Pressley is married to Conan Harris, the director of the Boston Chapter of My Brother’s Keeper, an Initiative created by Barak Obama. Moreover, the pair tied the knot on 25th May 2014, in a ceremony at the African Meeting House on Beacon Hill.
