Alazraqui attended California State University located in Sacramento, California in 1982. While studying there, he began competing in open mic contests. Likewise, Carlos also competed and won the fourth year at the San Francisco International Comedy Competition. He graduated from the university in 1986 and moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in acting.

Carlos Alazraqui started his career from the American animated adventure comedy series, Tiny Toon Adventure. There he voiced for a policeman in 1990. Later, he gave voice in various characters in the animated series, The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat in 1995. Furthermore, Alazraqui also gave the voice of Uno/Chomble in the comedy series, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters in 1996.

Alazraqui voiced as an ant, Loco in the American animated comedy film, A Bug’s Life in 1998. Further, he voiced as Chihuahua in An All Dogs Christmas Carol in 1999. Similarly, his other film credits are Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse, Justice League: Doom, etc.
