Early Life and Education

Charlene White was born on June 22, 1980, in Greenwich, London to Dennis White and Durrett White. She holds the English nationality and belongs to Caucasian ethnicity.

White grew up in London along with her two other siblings named Joshua and Carina. She joined Black Heath High School in southeast London and later on attended London College of Printing.

She completed her graduation from there.  Although her parents wanted her to be a doctor she was interested in the field of journalism since her early childhood days.

Career

The talented journalist, Charlene White served as a presenter and a senior broadcast journalist at BBC News, BBC Look East, and Radio 5 Live Morning Reports. She also had her own late night talk show in BBC London 94.9.

Additionally, White joined 1 Newsbeat and its sister digital station BBC Radio 1Xtra as a Reporter. She also worked in ITN– as a newscaster for the ITV News. Then she started presenting the ITV News Weekend Daytime bulletins on a rotation basis.

Moreover, Charlene became the first black women in order to present ITV News at Ten. She also regularly hosts ITV Evening News, ITV News London evening program and the weekday ITV Lunchtime News.

Recently in 2016, she also became the Deputy presenter of the ITV Lunchtime News, ITV Evening News, and ITV Weekend News.

Personal Life

The 36-years old Journalist is yet not married. She is in a relationship with Andy. The duo is seen together for many years. Recently in 2017, via her Twitter account, she revealed that she is expecting her first child with her boyfriend, Andy.

Currently White resides in south London. She enjoys shopping and her favorite color is Blue. When she was just sixteen years old, her mother has bowel cancer.

She used to take good care of her mother but she died in 2002. After the death of her mother, White is seen active in raising awareness about bowel cancer. However, she is also a part of Charity Bowel Cancer UK.
