Charles Dance was born Walter Charles Dance on October 10, 1946, in Redditch, Worcestershire, Uk. He was taken to his mother, Eleanor Marion, who worked as a cook before passing away in 1984. Charles grew up in Plymouth, Devon, attending a Widely technical school for boys based in Crownhill. He earned a degree in Graphic design and photography from Leicester School of Arts.
