Charlotte visited her family where they watched a film together on 13th November 2001. Later, her father stated that she had been in great spirits because of her new flat in Holloway, north London. Later that evening, Charlotte felt unwell but went to her flat ignoring her parents’ advice.

Charlotte’s parents telephoned her to see if she was feeling alright, but there was no reply from her in the next morning of Wednesday, on 14th November 2001. Her mother went to her flat where she found Charlotte lying unconscious on the floor and her asthma inhaler was in the next room.

Later, Charlotte was taken to Whittington Hospital in north London, where she was announced dead due to a massive attack of bronchial asthma. She was just 33 years old at the time of her death. Her family and close friends always attend a memorial located at the Mill Hill Buddhist Centre in North London.
