The 48-year-old David Blaine was born on April 4, 1973, in Brooklyn, New York, the USA as David Blaine White to Patrick Maureen White (1946-1995) and William Perez.
David’s father is a veteran of the Vietnam War, whereas his mother was a schoolteacher. A single mother raised him and belongs to mixed ethnicity. Unfortunately, Blaine’s mother died of cancer when he was in his late teens. He enrolled at Montessori School in Brooklyn and later attended Passaic Valley Regional High School after he moved to Little Falls, New Jersey.
At 17yrs old David moved to Manhattan, New York, from where his career started with “Street Magic”. They broadcast his show on NBC in May 1997, which brought proposals from Time magazine and fellow magicians Penn and Teller.
