Douglas Lima was born on 31st January 1989 in Goiânia, Brazil. He grew up in his hometown along with his elder brother who is the former Bellator welterweight champion  Douglas Lima. Lima tied the knot with his long term girlfriend, Erica Lima. After dating for a few years, the love birds finally decided to walk the alley on June 2009. Dhiego and Erica are sharing a strong bond.
