Diane Allen, born as Diane B. Allen is an American Republican Party politician. Since 1998-2018, she represented the 7th Legislative District and served in the New Jersey State Senate.

From 2002 to 2003, Allen served as the Deputy Republican Conference Leader and as the Majority Whip from 1998 to 2001.

From 1996 to 1998, for two years Diane served as the member of the lower house of the New Jersey Legislature, the New Jersey General Assembly.

Early Life and Education

Back to her early life, Diane was born on March 8, 1948, in Newark, New Jersey as Diane B. Allen. She was raised in Moorestown Township, New Jersey. Allen belongs to the American citizen of the white ethnicity.

Career

In 1970, Diane Allen first ran for elective office ran for the Board of Education of the Moorestown Township Public Schools and in 1995, she was elected in the General election.

Similarly, in 2013, Diane was elected the Chair of the National Foundation for Women Legislators. The main aim of this organizations is to supports elected women from all levels of governance as it represents the near 1800 female state legislators in America.  In 1996, 2000, 2004, and 2012, she has served as a delegate to the Republican National Convention.

Apart from Politician, Diane has worked as an anchor and reporter for KYW-TV from 1976 to 1978, WCAU-TV from 1989 to 1994, and WLS-TV in Chicago from 1979 to 1982.

Diane Allen is a married woman and she is married to a fellow member of Mt. Laurel Friends Meeting and Moorestown Friends Meeting, Sam. The Allen’s family resides at Edgewater Park, New Jersey.

Allen suffered from oral cancer and after surgery performed in 2010, Diane has since undergone radiation and laser treatments. Diane was introduced into Hall of Fame by The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia in 2005. Allen has straight sexual views.
