Bio of Donna Dixon

Donna Dixon was born as Donna Lynn Dixon on July 20, 1957, in Alexandria, Virginia, the United States of America. She is the daughter of Earl Dixon, owner of a nightclub in US 1 called Hillbilly Heaven.

Donna joined Groveton High School and graduated in 1975. Later, she attended George Washington University but dropped out.

Professional Life

Dixon started her career as a model and in 1976 she was named Miss Virginia USA and in 1977 Miss Washington D.C. World. She co-starred the situation comedy Bosom Buddies with Tom Hanks in the early 1980s, playing Sonny Lumet’s role.

In the same way, she starred the role of Jr. Stewardess in 1983 film, Twilight Zone: The Movie along with Dan Aykroyd and Albert Brooks.  Also, Donna is credited for the films like The Nanny, Nixon, Da Sweet Blood of Jesus, Wayne’s World, and It Had to Be You.

Miss Virginia USA married walked down the aisle with her parents to get husband Dan Aykroyd. The love birds met on the set of Doctor Detroit. Dan and Dixon exchanged their wedding vows on 29 April 1983 in an intimate wedding ceromany. For now, the two are considered as a great couple who have stayed through their vows for a long time.

As a couple, Dan and Donna continue to participate directly and indirectly in philanthropic ventures. Together, the duo has appeared in three additional movies which include, Spies Like Us, Twilight Zone: The Movie and The Couch Trip.
