Carrie Fisher was an American humorist, writer, and an actress. Fisher first became famous and popularized for playing in the Stars Wars Films as Princess Leia. Other films acted by Fisher includes Hannah and her sisters (1986), The Burbs (1989) When Harry met Sally (1989).
Carrie wrote several semi-autobiographies. Fisher worked in other writers screenplays as a script doctor. Afterward, she earned praise for talking about her experience with drug addiction and bipolar disorder. Fisher received the Golden Heart Award for her work in the Midnight Mission.
Early Life And Education
Carrie Fisher was born on October 21, 1956, in California. Her father Eddie Fisher was an actor whereas mother Debbie Reynolds was a singer. In 1959 her parents divorced when she was just two years old. Fisher’s father third marriage to actress Connie Stevens resulted in the birth of Fisher’s two half-sisters Tricia Leigh Fisher and Joely Fisher.
In 1960 Fisher’s mother married the owner of shoe stores. But when Fisher was 17 years old they divorced. Fisher childhood was spent writing poetry as well as reading classic literature. Until the age of 15, Carrie attended Beverly Hills High School.
Fisher has to drop out from school when her time in Broadway interfered with her education. She enrolled in London Central School Of Drama where she attended her schooling for 18 months. Being involved in the school of drama she applied to Sarah Lawrence College where she planned to study arts. Later on, Fisher left the college without graduating.
Knowing about the hard work as well as successful deeds of Fisher she firstly debuted a film in Columbia Pictures. Carrie believed the Stars Wars was one of the fantastic scripts but no one was there to support her at that time. But her fellow bounded after the commercial success of the films although they were not close at first.
In 1978 in one of the t.v special episode, Ringo Carrie appeared as the love interest. On the very next month, she starred alongside John Ritter who has also appeared in the Ringo. Fisher played Princess Leia in 1978 t.v production and sang in the last scene.
Knowing Carrie Fisher personally firstly she dated musician Paul Simon with whom she met while acting in Stars Wars. In 1980 Fisher got engaged to Dan Aykroyd who was a Canadian actor.
Fisher explained that they had rings, got blood tests and the whole shot. Then she got back to Paul Simon. They started dating each other back again. “Hearts and Bones” sang by Simon is a song about their romance.
Fisher subsequently had a relationship with Bryan Lourd afterward. Fisher and Bryan had one child together. She also had a close relationship with singer James Blunt. James used to spend much of his time at Fisher’s residence.
