Harry Hamlin was born as Harry Robinson Hamlin on October 30, 1951, in Pasadena, California, the United States of America. Hamlin is the son of Berniece, a socialite and Chauncey Jerome Hamlin, Jr. and aeronautical engineer.

Harry attended Flintridge Preparatory School near Pasadena, and The Hill School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Also, he attended classes at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts.

Hamlin graduated with a dual Bachelor of Arts degree in drama and psychology from Yale University in 1974. Hamlin then completed the advanced actor training program of the American Conservatory Theatre, from which he received a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1976.

Coming upto Hamlin’s relationship status, he is a married man. He tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend turned wife Lisa Rinna. Rinna is a former Days of Our Lives actress and television host. The two are not just a couple but also a business partner. Together the husband and wife owned the Belle Gray clothing boutique in Sherman Oaks, California in 2011.

Harry Hamlin made his acting debut from 1968 film, Hercules. His big-screen break was in the 1981 Greek mythology fantasy epic Clash of the Titans.
