Born as Aya Tademaru on 24th March 1985, in Hiroshima, Haruka is the elder sister of her brother. Haruka was active in sports and played basketball in middle school. She also competed in the Chugoku region Ekiden tournament(long-distance relay race) during junior high school.

Firstly, Haruka starter her career as a gravure idol then branched off into acting in small roles. In 2003, she acted in Fuji TV drama Boku no Ikiru Michi (The Way I Live) which made a positive impression on the public. Along with that, Haruka performed as Hirose Aki in TBS drama Crying out Love, in the center of the world where she beat 723 contestants.
Haruko has become popular by working on the big screen acting as Cyborg Girl, Happy Flight, and Oppai Volleyball. Ayase played as a cyborg in Cyborg girl, an airline stewardess in Happy Flight and a volleyball coach in Oppai Volleyball. Along with that, Ayase played a blind swordsman in Ichi.
From 2010 to 2014, Haruka acted in several films like The Incite Mill, Princess Toyotomi, Hotaru no Hikari, Himitsu no Akko-chan, Real and All-Round Appraiser.
