In 1903 he made Companion of the Order of the Indian Empire and In 1912 he made Companion of the Order of the Star of India. In 1895 he led the first communication experiments in 1895 and fitting the pioneer in multimedia communication. He was also a writer and authored ‘Niruddesher Kahini’ in 1896 which was the first major work in Bengali science fiction. Besides this, He has done great accomplishments.
