Chobot was born 7th July 1977 in New York. When she was young, Chobot’s family shifted to various towns on the Midwest and East Coast before her high school.

In 2005, Kotaku published Chobot’s photo licking a Sony PSP online and gained exposure. Since then the photo became viral. The photo was also featured on Sony branded advertising. After a year, Jessica Chobot was invited full-time host by IGN.com for the network’s IGN weekly show.

Jessica gained popularity in a short time as she also made her appearance on commercials of ADV’s Anime Network On Demand cable station, and modeled for the J!NX female gamers clothing line.

After living a single life for few years, Chobot got engaged to Blair Herter, famous for his work as a producer and host in Attack of the Show! aired via G4 Network. Later on 18 Feb 2012, Chobot and Herter married and had their first baby was born on 6th March 2013, named Emerson Rolland Herter.
