Jo Coddington met her first husband, McGhee while working in a restaurant. Since then, they started dating each other and later became engaged. The couple married in 1978 in Rupert, Idaho. From their marriage, they share two children including two sons. Unfortunately, her marriage ended with her spouse demise in 1996.

After the death of her first late husband, Coddington started dating an American hot rod designer, Boyd Coddington. Later, the pair tied the knot in 2001 in Whittier. They adopted three children including Billet Leon (born in 2005), Cast Aldin (born in 2006) and Hemi Brogdon Coddington (born in 2006). However, her relationship with her second spouse didn’t last for long after Boyd’s death. Currently, she resides in California with her five children.

In 1998, Coddington’s husband faced financial trouble due to a $4,65,000 loss from a bankrupt customer led her to re-organize Boyd’s Wheels and partner with his eldest son, Boyd Coddington, Jr. In his later days, Boyd began registering cars that were essentially completely custom fabrications as antique automobiles, bypassing major emissions restrictions and tax liabilities. Coddington pleaded guilty on 7th April 2005.

Coddington’s Husband Boyd’s Death

Boyd was hospitalized on 31st December 2007. Shortly after New Year’s Eve, he got discharged but, readmitted to Presbyterian Intercommunity Hospital in Whittier, California a few days later.

On 27th February 2008, doctors tried to save Boyd from surgery but unconditionally, he died. Later, his publicist stated that he had a long-time diabetic with kidney and sepsis complications that were brought on immediate surgery.
