Catanzaro completed her high school graduation nearby Belleville and then enrolled at the Towson University in Towson, Maryland, studying there on an athletic scholarship.

During her college days, Kacy started her professional career. As she joined in gymnastics for Towson Division I of the National Collegiate Athlete Association in 2012. Similarly, Catanzaro got the title of 2012 Eastern College Athletic Conference Gymnast and Southeast Regional Gymnast of the Year.

Afterward, Catanzaro joined American Ninja Warrior (Season 6) and at that time she became the first woman to qualify for the finals. Furthermore, she competed in finals in Dallas secured 201 out of 30 and was also qualified for the national finals in Las Vegas.
