Kathryn Morgan

Dancing is a form of art and there are very few dancers who reach the top at a young age. Kathryn Morgan is one of those who joined Newyork city ballet at the young age of 17 and gained a massive sucess since she began her career. Later she got promoted to the rank of soloist.

Kathryn is an American ballet dancer who recently joined the Miami City Ballet as a soloist. She was awarded the Mae L.Wien Award, Movado future Legends award and Janice Levin award for her exceptional skill of ballet. To know more about Kathryn, stay with us:

Adopted child

Kathryn Elizabeth Morgan was born on August 17, 1988, in Fayetteville North Carolina. She was adopted by a dental specialist Rick Morgan and mother Sheila Morgan. Rick worked on the US Air force and Sheila is on the dress business. Her biological parents come from British, Irish, French, German and Scandinavian ancestry.

She spent her childhood in Minot, North Carolina and started dancing from the age of two years old. Later her adoptive parents moved to Mobile, Alabama and attended school in Alabama where she learned ballet training.

Since Kathryn had already learned the primary dancing lesson she got the scholarship at the Joffrey ballet school.  Morgan lived in an apartment at Newyork city with her mother. Her adopted dad visited her once in while from Alabama.

Married and Divorced

Kathryn is currently single and pursuing her career as a Ballet dancer. However, as per her Instagram, she seems to be close to a guy named Chris. She spent her 2019 Christmas with the same guy. Additionally, her picture with the blonde hair Chris hints to be more than just friends. Kathryn uploaded proudly on her Instagram with the caption ”Every time I meet Chris I feel fulfilled”.  To some extent, they might be good friends as Kathryn hasn’t confirmed her relationship with Chris.

In addition,  Kathryn was previously was married to a guy named Eric Latham Young. He was an Army who serves in the United States Coast Guard.  The former couple tied the knot on May 27, 2017. Prior, the duo was engaged in North Carolina on May 27, 2016.

They walked down the aisle in a religious ceremony at Ashland place United Methodist church in her hometown Mobile, Alabama. Later they moved to Houston, Texas, where Morgan began teaching ballet at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts.

Sadly their marriage could not last long and decided to separate on September 3, 2018. She announced the news through her Instagram account. Later that month she announced via YouTube that her divorce has been finalized.

 Suffered from Hashimoto’s thyroiditis

In 2010 Morgan suffered from a disease called Hashimoto’s thyroiditis which causes under-functioning thyroid. Due to the illness, she gained weight, lost muscle strength, fatigue, hair loss, and depression.

She left New York City Ballet in 2012 to focus on her recovery and went to her hometown of Mobile, Alabama for her treatment.  As of now, the 31-year-old is healthy and performs as a soloist in Miami city Ballet.
