Kelly Frey is a happily married woman. She is married to her husband, Jason Luhn, National Air Guard office who works as a tanker pilot at Pittsburgh International Airport. Together, Kelly and her husband Jason share a loving bond and are blessed with two kids.

Her first child was born on September 2009 as a son, Bennett Rya. Bennett was born with a rare brain malformation named, Dandy-Walke Syndrome. He was born with literally no cerebellum and it was impacting his fine motor skills.

After birth, the doctor expected a very low chance of his survival. Luckily, the opposite happened. Bennett became stronger each passing day. Later their happiness became double in 2011 when Kelly gave birth to their second child as a daughter Marena.

Kelly timely brings her children on the studio of WTAE-TV. Timely she shared the pictures of her son Bennett on her social media account. Although Bennett is mentally challenged, Kelly and her husband never thought that their son to be lesser than other kids.

Back in January 2017, Kelly Frey was diagnosed with an early stage of breast cancer. Within a month, her breast cancer condition became aggressive and announced her condition on-air during early March 2017. She shared the details regarding her treatment through her WTAE Facebook account.

Kelly shared her feed where she showed her hair-fall while receiving chemotherapy. She also said that when she started shampooing her hair, she felt that her hair began to fall out. She surgically removed the lumps and shared a live-video on 22 November 2017.
