Michael Rapaport was born on March 20, 1970, in New York City under the birth sign Pisces. His father David Rapaport is a radio executive who was the general manager of the All-Disco at New York radio station WKTU Disco 92 and mother June Brody, a New York radio personality.

The 49 years old actor has an older half-sister Claudia Lonow and has a half-brother Eric Rapaport from his father’s previous relationship. After his parents divorced, his mother married Mark Lonow who owned The Improv with Budd Friedman. Rapaport grew up in the Upper East Side of Manhattan along with his family.

Further, Michael is of Italian, Russian and Polish heritage and of Ashkenazi Jewish descent. Rapaport attended Erasmus Hall High School in the 1980s but he was expelled. Later, he graduated from Martin Luther King High School.
