After completing her graduation in 2006, Ghaffar began her first television industry job. She worked for Endemol in Bristol for the programme Deal or No Deal. After moving to ITV West, her first on-screen opportunity was when she was asked for weather presenting position.
Similarly, she was also trained as a weather forecaster with the Met Office. After 18 months of presenting for ITV, she moved back to Kent and joined the South East Today programme of BBC.
Later on 4 November 2010, Nazaneen left BBC and joined Sky News as weather host on its Sunrise programme replacing Lucy Versamy. She worked for forecasts for Sky News-produced 5 News on Channel 5 until February 19, 2012.
