Born and raised in a small village near Guildford in Surrey, Nicola Bryant is the older of two daughters. Her parents are Denis Bryant and Sheila Bryant. Nicola’s first mainstream appearance was as Peri Brown in TV series Doctor Who. She played the part from 1984 to 1986, first with Peter Davidson and then with Colin Baker. Being a British, she played the role of an American in this series which was something new to her.
