Park Jimin was born Park Ji-min on 13 October 1995 in Busan, South Korea. He was born under the birth sign Libra. Jimin is the eldest child in the family. He also has one younger brother named Park Jihyun who has appeared in Jimin’s vlog.

Jimin joined Busan Performance Art High School. Likewise, he took up Dance Performance and graduated in 2013 as the top seat student.

Since his childhood, Jimin was interested in dancing and popping after he watched Rain performances. Then after he thought of building his career in this field and on 11 November 2012, he decided to audition with  BigHit after his dance teacher motivated him.

On 13 June 2013, he joined BTS also known as Bangtan Boys on Mnet’s M! Countdown where he is the lead vocalist and main dancer and the group performed the song No More Dream from their debut album 2 Cool 4 Skool. Moreover, the album got them numerous Awards which include 2013 Melon Music, Golden Disc and the 2014 Seoul Music Awards.

After their huge success of the BTS band, they continued to gain fame with their subsequent albums like Dark & Wild (2014), The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Part 2 (2015) and The Most beautiful Moment in Life; Young Forever (2016). Their subsequent album also got the Album of the Year award at the 2016 and peaked at the #26 on the Billboard 200 which marked the highest chart ranking for a K-pop album ever beating out favorites like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber.
