Paul Malignaggi was born on 23rd November 1980, in Syracuse, Sicily. Malignaggi is of American nationality and he belongs to mixed ethnicity. Paul grew up with his brother Umberto in Brooklyn. His parents are from Sicily and Paul spent most of his childhood in Syracuse, Sicily. Six years after the birth of his brother, his family settled in Brooklyn.

Malignaggi defended his title against Herman Ngoudjo in a match at Bally’s Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In November 2008, Ricky Hatton defeated Malignaggi in a match that took place in MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Retirement

In his 16 years career, Paul Malignaggi fought in 44 fights and won 36 of them out of which 7 being won in a K.O. Malignaggi lost 8 of them and he retired on 6th March 2017, at the age of 36. After retiring Malignaggi joined Conor McGregor on 26th August 2017.

Some controversies were thrown around the sparring session between Malignaggi and Conor, so Malignaggi left Team McGregor on 3rd August 2017.

Malignaggi won the world championship title in the boxing ring but also in the commentating box he won the award for Boxing Commentator for Showtime, Fox Sports 1 and Sky Sports. Likewise, Malignaggi featured in an episode Home Sweet Home of the series Blue Bloods.

Paulie Malignaggi is not married and is not dating anyone. However, he was previously in a relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Jessica Corazon. In a match between Paul and Broner, Jessica became the center of attention. She even did an interview with The Ring.
