Ralph Penza started his professional career through WSAV radio in Georgia where he worked as a news director. He also anchored at WDVM in Washington D.C.

He also worked for different radio channels such as WCAU, WCBC, and WABC. Currently, he is serving the WNBC as a news anchor which he left in 1995 and rejoined in 1997. He was the winner of six Emmy for best reporting.
