Roger Staubach was born Roger Thomas Staubach on February 5, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio United States. Staubach is the son of Betty Staubach and Bob Staubach. He is the only child of his parents. He is nicknamed as Roger the Dodger, Captain America and Captain Comeback.

Roger was raised in Silverton, a northeast suburb of Cincinnati and has German descent. He joined St. John the Evangelist Catholic School and then graduated from Purcell High School in 1960. He has also attended U.S. Naval Academy.

Roger Staubach’s Career

Roger started his professional career in 1969 from the Dallas Cowboys and played with the club during all the 11 seasons of his career. He led the Cowboys club to victories in Super Bowl VI and Super Bowl XII.

After his retirement from the NFL in 1980, Roger Thomas Staubach started doing sports commentary and started a commercial real estate business, named The Staubach Company in 1977. He opened the company with a partnership with Robert Holloway Jr., an associate of Henry S. Miller.
