After making a huge name in her high school and being Molly’s second all-time leading scorer in basketball, Onwude went to accept a scholarship to Stanford University where she later worked as a starting point guard for two years under Tara VanDerveer, a Stanford basketball coach.
As she was still suffering from her second knee injury, the pain didn’t allow her to play in the 2006-07 season. However, her injury didn’t last for a long and she made her comeback as a shooting guard in the season 2007-08.
In the final season, Rosa was honored as the Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year. Later, she went to broaden her experience at the University of Albany, SUNY.
