Stokeley Clevon Goulbourne aka Ski Mask was born on 18 April 1996 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is of mixed ethnicity and belongs to Jamaican and Afro-American descent. Growing up he spent his childhood with four siblings in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. When he grew up his parents fired him from his mother and father’s house. At that time his mother struggled through his issue while his father offered his little bit of support.
Having difficulties as a child, he decided to pursue his career in the music industry. In an interview, he looked back at his hard childhood saying,
“It was either make this shit work or die to try.”

When he was a member of the audience shouted “F**k X, that woman-beating shit!,” Ski threatened the member of the audience and encouraged them to “F**k him up!” leading to a melee.
While the crowd beat the man, Ski played one of the most popular songs of X’s, Look at Me before the security of the venue scattered the disturbance and escorted the man outside the venue.
