Currently seventy years old, Stan Cadwallader is openly gay. He tied the knot with his 82-years-old male partner, Jim Nabors. The two traveled all the way to Washington State, where gay marriage became legal early in December 2012 and exchanged the wedding vows on 13^th January 2013, at the Fairmount Olympic Hotel in Seattle. The nuptial ceremony was private with just a couple of friends in their hotel room.

Going deep into their relationship, the pair first met in 1975. At the time, Stan was working as a firefighter but he eventually began working for Jim and developed a friendly relationship.

After spending some quality time, they attracted towards each other and soon they started dating. The couple dated more than 38 years and finally officially got together when Stan was 64-years-old.

In 2013, when Hawaii news tried to do an on-camera interview with them, Jim declined and gave the interview on call instead. Jim told Hawaii News exclusively by phone that Stan and Jim have been together for over 38 years and they are not ashamed of people knowing about their marriage.

Furthermore, he added that he is blessed as well as delighted to have a partner for such an extended period.

But at the age of 87, on 30 November 2017, Jim died peacefully in his house at Honolulu, Hawaii, the U.S. As per Stan, Jim’s health had been declining for much of the past year.
