Back to her early life, Suzann Pettersen first came out of her shell on 7 April 1981 in Oslo, Norway to Axel and Mona and has two brothers, Stefan and Gunerius. Pettersen holds the Norwegian nationality and belongs to the white ethical background. She is nicknamed as Tutta.

In the same year, she won the LPGA Lotte Championship, the Safeway Classic, The Evian Championship, and the Sunrise LPGA Taiwan Championship.
