Tomasz Schafernaker was born on 8 January 1979 in Gdansk, Poland. He holds the British nationality and belongs to White ethnicity. He attended school in both Britain and Poland.

The talented meteorologist, Tomasz Schafernaker joined the independent school named st. John’s College in Portsmouth. He studied A-level in art, physics, and mathematics followed by the University of Reading. At the University he earned a BSc in Meteorology.

Tomasz Schafernaker’s Career

The brilliant meteorologist joined the BBC Weather Centre in 2000. There he served as a broadcast assistant. The same year he became a presenter for the BBC weather. Then from 2004 to 2005, he began to learn at the Met Office college in Devon. He was also trained as a forecaster for aviation.

Additionally, he served for some time at ITV as well as the London Weather Centre. Later on, he rejoined the BBC and became infamous for raising the finger against Simon McCoy, the BBC News presenter.

In 2010, Tomasz was named as one of the Best TV Weather Presenter at TRIC Awards. While he was still working for the Met Office, he presented several broadcast projects for the UK networks including Channel Four, The Weather Channel and Discovery Channel.
