Verne Troyer was an American stunt performer, actor and a comedian who is most known for playing Mini-Me in the Austin Power film series. Further, he was also famous for being just 2 feet 8 inch in height which was the result of cartilage-hair hypoplasia. The reason led him to be one of the shortest men in the world.

Verne Troyer’s Early Life and Education

Verne Jay Troyer aka Verne Troyer was born on January 1, 1969, in Michigan, U.S. His parents were Reuben Troyer and Susan Troyer. His father was a factory worker and mother was a repair technician. He has two other siblings named Deborah and Davon.

Initially, Troyer was raised Amish after his parents left the faith when he was still a child. Later he spent most of his childhood days visiting Amish relatives in Michigan.  He attended Centreville Hign school and completed his graduation in 1987.

Verne Troyer’s Career

Verne Troyer’s career started when a former president of Little People of America contacted him for someone of a certain size in order to serve as a stunt double for the infant character in John Hughes’ movie named Baby’s Day Out.

Further, he earned work as a stunt double with some minor roles in numerous movies which include My Giant, Men in Black and Dunston Checks In Jingle All the Way.  Then he featured the role of Mini-Me in Austin Power series which was directed by Jay Roach.

Additionally, the talented actor, Verne Troyer later reprised the role after three years in Austin Powers in Goldmember. He later collaborated again with Mike Myers on The Love Guru. He also featured the role of Griphook in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.

Moreover, he also appeared as himself in reality television series including the sixth series of the British Celebrity Big Brother, Welcome to Sweden and The Surreal Life.

Verne Troyer’s Personal Life

The renowned actor, Verne was a happily married man. He married a model, Genevieve Gallen in 2004. But the next day after the marriage he filed for an annulment. Previously he was in a relationship with Ranae Shrider.

Once Troyer’s and his live-in girlfriend, Ranae videos of having sex was leaked and Kevin Blatt, a broker, even tried to sell the video. Later he was in a relationship with Brittney Powell.

Recently in 2018, Troyer was admitted to a hospital after an incident in his home. He was admitted to rehab previously for the treatment of alcoholism. At the age of 49 on April 21, 2018, he died.
