She spent her childhood in Germany during the summer holidays. Currently, the 49-year-old actor is fluent in German and English language because of her grandmother who taught her German language in her childhood days.

However, their marriage couldn’t last long due to which after being together for two years they decided to part their ways with mutual consent. Their separation became easy since they had not shared children from their marriage.

After the birth of their daughter Colette Zoe on January 5, 2008, they got engaged and tied the knot in the same year in October.
The couple exchanged the vows at the SoHo House in L.A in an intimate ceremony in the presence of their close friends. Some of the high profile guests included Tiffani Thiessen, Sarah Chalke, Busy Philipps, and Julie Bowen. During the marriage ceremony, she wore a vintage re-creation by L.A. designers Karen Zambos and Nony Tochterman. She expressed her wedding day in her own words saying:
“Having a wedding ceremony in a rooftop garden high above Sunset Boulevard with your closest friends watching you come down the aisle, it was just overwhelming, in a good way,”.“I have to say, it was a night we didn’t want to end.”
As of now, the couple is happily married with no rumor of affairs and lives with her family in Griffith Park.
