Early Life of Amanda Redman

Her father was English, whereas, her mother, Joan’s father used to serve as a British Indian Army soldier. Amanda’s parents had an age difference of two years. Her father, Ronald died at the age of 51  when her mother was 53 years old. During the death of her father, she was in her early twenties. She also had a brother who also passed away n 2008.

After reaching 18 months from birth, Amanda went through an accident while a pan of boiling soup fell on her that badly scarred on her left arm. In order to pursue her career in the entertainment industry, she attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

Due to her talent and well acting skills, Amanda Redman first received a professional role of Marina in the BBC Shakespeare production’s Pericles, Prince of Tyre alongside Mike Gwilym. She then stepped up for a role in a British TV mini-series. Following, she made her appearance in the 1985 touring version of The Rocky Horror Show.

During the 1990s, Amanda performed in the episodes of the TV series Spender, The Men’s Room, Ruth Rendell Mysteries, Casualty, etc. Her TV film credits include Sexy Beast, The Wedding Tackle, The Sight, Tommy Cooper: Not Like That, Like This, and many others.
