Early Life of Julia Smith
Julia Smith was born to her British parents in London, England. Her father used to be an English musician who had also inspired her to join the Royal Academy of Music. Also, she had a cousin named Chris Menges, a film director, and cameraman.

She then directed the BBC shows such as Z Cars (1962), Doctor Who (1966), The Smugglers, and The Underwater Menace. Her well-recognized direction can be seen in an adaptation of The Railway Children.
Julia had learned and understood many things from Tony Holland, her co-worker and a late British actor and TV screenwriter. They together produced and settled the script of BBC’s drama, Angles.
