Frankel (father), a horse trainer and Bernadette Birk (mother), an interior designer. Frankel grew up in a Jewish-Roman Catholic family.
When Bethenny was four years old, her father left her mother. At the age of five, her mother married second time with a horse trainer, John Parisella (Frankel’s stepfather). Frankel and her family moved from place to place and changed multiple schools before going to boarding school.
Frankel graduated from Pine Crest School in 1988, before attending Catholic schools as a girl. She also joined the Natural Gourmet Institute and enrolled at Boston University.
