Christian Yelich

Christian Yelich is an American professional baseball player in Major League Baseball (MBL). Yelich is playing baseball in the position of an outfielder for the Milwaukee Brewers of MBL. Previously, he played for the Miami Marlins. Moreover, he won the Gold Gove Award in 2014 for his outstanding performance.

More to that, he was selected by Marlins in the first round of the 2010 MLB draft. Moreover, he earned the Silver Slugger Award in 2016 and 2018, and the National  League’s Most Valuable Player Award in 2018.

Christian Yelich was born as Christian Stephen Yelich on December 5, 1991, in Thousand Oaks, California. His mother’s name is Alecia Yelich, but his father’s name is unknown yet. Moreover, he has two younger siblings, Collin Yelich and Cameron Yelich. Further, his paternal grandfather is of Serbian descent and his maternal grandfather is Japanese.

Similarly, he holds an American nationality and belongs to mixed ethnicity. He attended Westlake High School. He started to play basketball for his school team at an early age. During his freshman year, he batted .373 with 25 hits and 16 strikeouts out of 67 at-bats.

Career as an MBL Player

Well, talented and hard-working player, Yelich started his career from his high school team. During his sophomore year, he batted .341 with 31 hits and 24 strikeouts in 91 at-bats. After his hard word gets to draft by the Marlins 23rd over in the 2010 Major League Baseball draft and he debuted on July 23, 2013. Moreover, he is also named as a  Marlin’s Minor League Player of the Year two times, in 2011 and 2012. Furthermore, in the 2014 seasons, he batted .284 with 21 steals.

More to that, in 2015 seasons finished with a .300 average. Later, on January 25, 2018, Marlins sold out him to the Milwaukee Brewers. While moving towards his international career, in 2017  World Baseball Classic, Christian played for the United States baseball team.
